The 肖 Innovation Fellowship inspires creative confidence and design thinking in young innovators recruited from across UNE’s academic programs. 每年, five Senior 肖的同伴 each receive $5,000 to lead an innovative project in their area of interest. A second group of fellows form the 肖 Innovation Team, with each team member receiving a stipend to collaborate on select capstone projects. 作为项目的一部分, students also have the opportunity to meet other local and regional innovators via specially designed workshops.

肖’s career has included extensive public service in 科学, arts, conservation and public policy. He has served on the faculty of Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and the advisory board of the Center for Public Leadership. He is a founding director of the U.S. 奥林匹克及残奥博物馆, chair-emeritus of The Jackson Laboratory, and treasurer emeritus of the American Association for the Advancement of 科学. He has also been a global leader in 科学-based conservation of nature as a trustee of the National Park Foundation, founding chair of the Sargasso Sea Alliance and Aspen High Seas Initiative, patron of nature to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, 海洋长老会成员, and as founder of Second Century Stewardship for America’s national parks.
